Tech Specs

	Sharpening instruction:
	Coarse stage: suit to dull knives. Place knives on diamond wheel, using slight downward pressure, run the blade from its heel to its point through the slot. Repeat three to five times. Fine stage: it's a necessary step which used to eliminate the burrs on the knife and polish it. It is recommended to do it approximately once a week to keep your blade sharp at any time.
	After using the knife sharpener, carefully wipe the knife blade with a damp cloth or rinse under running water and dry thoroughly.
	Cautions:
	There are still some points you need pay attention to:
	Do not use the knife sharpener to sharpen serrated blades or scissors.
	The ceramic wheel may discolor. This is normal.
	Do not put the sharpener in the dishwasher or submerge in water.

great knife sharpener 9/6/2012
I used this item to restore some older knives which had long ago lost their edge. The results were astounding. The edge was restored to better than new with very little work on my part. Thin slicing tomatoes was a breeze with the restored blade. The exterior is chromed plastic which in time may wear poorly but for now it matches our kitchen decor a point which pleased my wife. I found the unit on BUY.COM at a price so low it couldn't be passed up. The unit arrived quickly through USPS.
